Traveled to Los Angeles via the Burbank airport. Love the Burbank airport, named after Bob Hope. Its like going back in time - they roll up stairs to the door and the luggage claim is outside under a covered port. Got off the plane to sweltering heat - I think it got close to 100 degrees F! Quick trip to Tar-shay for a cheapo t-shirt and capri pants - walked out wearing them. Great food, great company. LA is so beautiful - flowers, citrus trees, palms, and beautiful sunsets. Working in the LA office is so great mainly because the staff is so fun - Oaxacan food, Korean BBQ, D'Asses cookies. Thursday afternoon was field trip time - touring the Port of Los Angeles. Evenings included looking down on LA from Mulholland Dr. (could't find David Lynch's place) and watching the sunset from Santa Monica beach. Watched a cut of my freinds film - looking good as a sort of Big Fish meets Twilight Zone magicial land. Didn't get much sleep but it was sooo worth it. Took the red-eye home and unfortunately was squished between Gucci-bag gal (she actually put her purse in a protective cover on the flight!) and snoring, older pervy man. He kept moving his elbow into my seat space so it was impossible to get comfy - should have left my smelly Korean BBQ clothes on to help set up a odor protective barrier. Damn, where's a good stink when ya need one.
