Osteria al Doge

I met Gwen for a much needed Friday night dinner at a new place for me. Osetria al Doge is on 44th just east of Broadway. Most of the theater crowd was heading out to shows but poor Gwen was pushed into the wall bench seat which was being overgrown by the large floral arrangement of magnolia and maple branches to her right. A few bends and tucks on my part helped a little. We had some lovely red wine to accompany the fritto misto. She had the tagliatelle with shrimp and I had the homemade eggplant ravioli which was fabulous. An nice find for theater dining as long as you don't mind pruning the surroundings.
