Flashback

When I see the lush green lawns, lovely brick and stones building dotting a refined campus like Tufts, I wonder if I could, should return to academia. Then I remember the politics and demographics of such revered institutions and I'm happy again with my decisions. I was there to listen to some work and research on coastal shipping and all my Coast Guard, environmental, and health work merged and I do believe I made a good contribution to the dialog. I was the only woman in the room so I did feel like Liz Lemon in the Succession episode of 30 Rock - when she's schmoozing with the GE guys. "Suck it monkeys! I'm going corporate!"
