Orca Love
Friday Harbor
Spent the day boating up to Friday Harbor with Rimma and Alex. What luck we had touring about San Juan Island. On a rented moped and scootcar, we tooled up the West side of the island. Luckily we happened to be following the path of the J pod as the group swam northward along the shore. They were so beautiful to watch ... and at certain times I could even hear their blow hole spout clearing. Truly wondrous. I lived in the Seattle area for five years, bounced up to the San Juans many times, but this was the first time I'd seen the orcas. We also saw a fox, an osprey nesting, and flower. Oh how I miss the green, flowers, clean air, outdoors and water. Just thought I'd share a few photos.
