I used to have lovely parties when I lived in a home with a living room, yard and nice kitchen. I would have friends come over before Halloween to carve pumpkins. It was so fun to see the psyches expressed through the art of creating Jack-O-Lanterns. Now that I live in New York, now living in a small studio, this year I just invited a few friends over and two people help me celebrate. Erica sat, commented, took pictures, and adored my cat. Lisa was inspired by a New Yorker cover and did a really great carving of Cheney. Since I didn't really prepare, we went out for dinner at Planet Sushi. I'm really spoiled with so many great places to eat all around me. Sometimes New York is a fantastic place to live.
