Need a new drug
Started feeling bad Wednesday night, last week. By Thursday, I knew I was getting the grunge - yellow phlegm from somewhere deep in my respiratory system. Went to work Thursday wich was a mistake. Skipped Cathy's goodbye party at Pipas (which I organized! Hate missing my own shindigs). Started taking clarithromycin Thursday evening, chills and sweats, hot showers and baths, on and on, through Tuesday. The joint pain was excruciating along with the neck and chest muscle fatigue. It hurt to just run my hands along my neck and back on my head. Worried about if I should go to hospital but set a limit on 103 degrees for my fever and I never got above 102.1 which is great because I hate hospitals. Called my pulmonary doctor Tuesday morning
and I've switched to Avelox. I think it is working better.
So, the good thing about living in a studio is that I'm close to everything - four steps and I'm at the kitchen, bathroom or front door from my nesting spot on my couch/bed. Watched a lot of PBS - I just love mercats, Masterpiece Theater, Frontline, Now, and other stuff I never knew was on Channel 13. Where was I during 1960s history? The MLK tributes were fantastic and a piece on Sargent Shriver was inspirational and enlightening. Thank god for public programing or I might have had to settle for crap TV where judges settle divorces better left to local bartender arbitration and trailer-trash folk fight for 'reality' camera time.
