NOVA: Car of the Future

Yikes, how I love concept cars and the hopes for e zero emissions vehicle. And how lucky am I that I get to research this stuff, and try to cleanup dirty diesel engines, as part of my job! So what a joy to see NOVA talk about some of my favorite things like cellulosic ethanol. The Car Talk guys narrate to keep things fresh and fun. And they had my dream car on it - the Tesla ... ah, if only I had a few hundred grand.

and following right behind, flashback to my life at EPA with ...

Frontline: Hot Politics

Yikes. This program is good, very good. I've learned so much, from Bush's War to Cheney's Law to The Mormons. They don't shy away from tough subjest and they deliver the best in-depth investigative journalism on television. This night's rebroadcast of Hot Politics retraces the looooong process of getting the climate change facts out there and trying to get the past three presidential royalty - From Bush Sr. to Clinton to Bush Jr. - to listen and do something. It was like reliving my days and frustrations when I worked at EPA ... and the pressure was on to edit and subvert the science for political reasons - ARGH! Luckily there are some good 'bureaucrats' who don't see their jobs as partisan. They are the only hope that the facts and true accountability will ever see light of day. There are heroes out there and sometimes they get some notice thanks to PBS.
